To me it looked better when you had it Carl. Roof racks and turbo's don't mix. Those rims look like the RF we ran on our demo car. Patina demands a lot of money.
I remember drooling over the pic's of this when Carl first posted. Thought about how nice it would have been to have as a bookend to my 66 Beau convertible. Not so much now...

Seeing that it's a 565 ci Dart block with AFR 377 heads and an F2 Procharger, the 1,200 hp claim sounds reasonable, but that's an insane amount of power for a street car.
If I owned the car, I'd sell off the engine and install a nice, streetable BBC. I might even make it look like a factory installed 396.
I don't think the car is ruined, just change the engine, replace the hood, change the wheels and give it a nice paint job.
The only problem is you'd want to get about $20,000 for that engine. I don't know how easy it would be to sell a 20,000 engine,,, I'm guessing it's a narrow market.

I understand the choice of taking out the 565cid since no one is going to pay 28k for a fast wagon who would self-destruct at a red light .....what I don't understand is why put a 10k 454 crate engine and a tremek 600 in a car that would otherwise sell very quickly with a very cheap and basic 283/PG combo ....
I hear the points raised by previous two posters however the car has been moved in the right direction. If I had bought it in its original state I would have swapped in the Big Block anyway. Lets face it a 195 HP 283 isn't going to satisfy anybody.
I bought the car for 6800.00 for friend in Moncton I delivered it for 7800.00 He added a rad and mufflers and sold it for 9-9500 add a 454 and strange axle posi rear and a new stick shift and clutch etc etc and 18-19 is a good buy The car is original paint other then hood
My Dad has one - 327 auto with A/C - there are like zero of these cars available in the marketplace - he says his is worth $12,000 and it still needs some work from being stored for the last ten years
THATS gotta be a better deal not neeting a 6-10grand paint job... Tell your dad he has all the nice toys lol

I'm not saying it's not worth the money in parts ...
We all know it's hard to sell a 18k pristine car nowadays !! All I'm saying is in my opinion the car would have sold quicker with a more basic combo at a smaller price... and he would still be able to turn a profit .
In my experience, there is no profit to be made with a Prostreet !!
I wonder how well they filled the hole that they cut for the turbo in the virgin hood after removing the other engine? It doesn't look too good of a job!
