68 Parisienne rear upper control arm bushes.

Hi,

I'm in the process of restoring an Australian delivered RHD 68 Pontiac Parisienne. The car has the same chassis, steering, brakes, suspension set up as the 68 Impala's. My question is; I have installed new bushes to the rear upper control arms as per the photo's.

Problem is the control arms seem to "walk out" of the bushes. I also have in the kit that was supplied four other bushes that I have no idea where they go. Seems as if I'm missing four thrust washers that would go on each end of the bush to stop the arm from "walking out"

The four bushes that were supplied, as per the photo's, do I need to cut them down to fit this application?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks. Sorry about the photo's......... first time post with pics, can't seem to turn them round.

You'll need to simply press your arms on further, all the way to the step in the shell.

Then use those large spacer bushings as seen below,

I'd seen those large spacer bushings sitting loose before, but had no idea what they were for.
