RE: SPOTTED

This is probably the one from kenora originally. Belonged to a school teacher new. It was Granada gold til someone on the minaki road painted it red for thier daughter. Then it ended up in wpg for sale. About 15 yrs ago. Guy had a hell of a time trying to sell on kijiji back then. It was pretty nice back when it was still gold. That would have been around 1999.

THAT is why it looked familiar! Seems to me he wanted about $3900 for it? And it was listed for a long long time.

Spotted today on Hwy 11...two cars.

A 2 door blue 64 Beaumont going N on Hwy 11 north of Barrie around 10:15 in traffic, the blue colour was what I first noticed.

On the return trip going North, just south of Bracebridge going south, another 65-66 Beaumont ( chrome slashes behind the drivers door) on a trailer, missing the whole front end, not wrecked from the quick look I could see.
Someone here doing a resto?

On my walk yesterday it's still there so I think we have a new car in town!

Saw this nice 68 Cutlass on my way through Mahone Bay Saturday.

Also saw a mint Black 1956 Chev half ton a few minutes later but didnt get a picture. It had a small load of lumber in the box from the local building supply store, nice to see trucks being trucks. The truck had wide whitewalls, black steel wheels, and dog dish.

Yesterday on Victoria Park in Scarborough I gave the Thumbs Up to a really nice Sherwood Green 1971 Duster 340 with correct white striping. It needed nothing. The best Duster IMHO.

The Duster 340 was well south of Parkway Mall on Victoria Park, almost by Dawes Rd.

Wow, Miracle Food Mart, when did they disappear, 1981? I remember the big thundering mid-60s Ford F-800 tractor with the blue & white reefer trailer driving past my school several times a week.

I generally thought those GS 400s from '69 were the equivalent of what they did to the '58 Corvette. That bow-wake bodyline along the side, busy grille & details were a departure from the clean lines the stylists usually produced. That one above with the D99 mouldings actually works though. It has a sort of flow to it.

The nicest 1970 2+2 in the London Ontario area.

Long time members know the car, One family, 2nd generation car.

Still nice to see out during my test run.

Randy, that '70 2+2 looks quite nice. They only made 274 of those as convertibles. Was it a 350? Many seemed to come with the 300-horse version.
It looks great beside your rare bird thumbsup.gif

I wonder if this 70 2+2 spotted in London in 2009 is still around? It was parked behind a townhouse complex.
