1967 beaumont sport deluxe 396 4 speed 12 bolt posie

ground up restoration black exteior black bucket seats 36 000 obo leave phone number

I always thought a frame off or ground up restoration represented a vehicle restored to Factory correct     I was very wrong

36,000.00 plus 13% tax ground up should not have the wrong hose clamps or rims or CTC tail pipe extensions   but it does have a "posie"

just rambling    better go do something    its a holiday

To me ground up means every nut and bolt has been taken apart then put back together so car is in as new condition, not just ending up with a used car with new paint

how many car ads do you see that say "frame off" restoration?? eg. 1935 ford "frame off resto" 350 SBC auto, tilt strg A/C, Vette rear end etc???? That's not a restoration, so some people have different definitions of a restoration. Pete

I'm perplexed? you guys don't see the value in this car?  If it's a real deal 67SD396 4 speed then "asking 36K" doesn't seem too out of line IMO.

Granted... it's obviously not 100% restored showroom ready, but wouldn't take big #'s to get it closer...

1. I see freshly completed bodywork and black paintjob =20K

2. Freshly rebuilt 396 motor =8K

3. Driver quality SD interior =8K

=36K (asking)

sounded like a likely starting point from this angle

was wondering if it was the raffle car from a few years ago that the guy was valuing at 70k

I guess maybe the guys here were just critizing the 'frame off' description

I think its worth a lot of money     can't build it for that...

Heres the problem   most folks (at least in Ont) don't have almost 40 grand with tax to buy a hobby car...

and most will pay 40 grand for a Chevelle first....

I Kens son is correct     I was making fun of the chincy canadian tire tail pipe tips on a big dollar car

Agreed. Nowadays people don't have an issue with signing a long term financing option to purchase a 30K-45K imported Kia ...BUT have a hard time justifying spending 36K on a 48yr old rare classic Canadian Muscle car!

fyi: I have nearly spent double that amount on my car, and it's still far away from being an "every nut and bolt perfect rotisserie restoration"

I'm thinking this black car originated from Kelowna 2yrs ago, and went to Van Island to be restored. (It was originally a maroon 283 car)  ...just a hunch.

The black 70K raffle car had a blue bucket interior with a 427/auto combo.

Most people have a hard paying that much for any old car without financing. What is easier one payment of $40,000or 120 payments of around $340 ?

Some GM Vintage documents would go a long way to help selling this car.
