I know that our Cdn.Pontiacs are basically female Chevys and I think the '49-'52 runs a 5 x 4.5" or 5 x 4.75" 15" rim with the 5 riveted dogfish hubcap clips.
The US ponchos are 5 x 5" and only have 3 clips.
My question is: Should I be looking for CDN. Chevy rims or are the OEM CDN. Pontiac ones different?
i guess i was confused also i thought my stock rims on my 53 were 14 inch went out back and they are all 15s when i got my 53 poncho it came with a 53 chev as well, judging from the color of the rims theres a set off the chevdo not know if these are the same as pre 52 how many do you need
49-53 Chevy and Canadian Pontiac are the same, with 5 clips. 54 change for no clips, or embossed center rims. So, hub caps for 54 are one year only (but can be fit on later year).
5 clips rims can't be replaced by 3 clips one.
Hope this help.

I need minimum one, but would like 2 so I can have an OEM spare. My current spare appears to be a '54 (according to Fitz). If you want to part with any my brother lives in your neck of the woods, or I have a friend in
Vancouver. I'd be most grateful. I'm getting close to paint stage and want to get all the wheels done at the same time.
That's Canuck. A guy I knew in the USA couldn't believe there was a hockey team called the "Canucks", he thought it was a derogatory term.
I guess 21 years of living in the US away from the hinterland and having to spell words without 'u' in them causes brain damage!
I'm also not allowed to say 'eh!' anymore.
I highly encourage adding 'u' where appropriate and saying "eh" as much as possible. It's good for soul!
Besides, say it enough and it'll catch on among your friends. Soon all of the US will be saying "eh" and meaning it, and the world will be a better place!
CASE CLOSED!! A BIG 2 thumbs up for TIMBUK for releasing 2 from his archives!
Now I know I'll be running on authentic Canuk rims. Now I just have to get them home to LA on Air Canada
