66 impala side mouldings ?


I came across a thread stating 66 impala chrome is the same as the 68 sd trim.Just need to cut the impala chrome. Anyone done this before?

it is the same contour as 68 sd side trim but not the same length by any means-you will have to have it cut and have it formed and then weld the ends,then have it OEM bright coated

would be a pile of work to do a whole car .... but if you were only missing a few prices.. well worth the effort..

In 1966 the Impala was the best selling car in North America. Many have been crushed but they made approximately 750,000 of them. Meanwhile they made less than 800 of the SD396 across both body styles. It might be worthwhile to take on some moldings for the cause, then get them re-anodized after the trimming and modifications.
