Carl, I think we talked about this one. Did we ever figure out if it fits a bench seat? If it does, I'm in, but something tells me that's the console handle, not the bench handle?

According to Pete Serio's book "Vintage Hurst Shifters- A Complete Guide Vol. 1", there is only one assembly for both console and non-console cars. The 4205 plate is unique to that model and raises the shifter body almost halfway up through the floor, so it should clear your seat. PM me if you want more info.

I have this shifter in my '65 Chevelle with a bench seat. Lots of clearance and it is the same for a console car according to Manchester Muncies where I purchased mine.

I'm in the shade on this one... OEM equipped had Muncies, correct? Then people removed then and installed the much better replacement Hurst designs? Reason I'm asking is that I was able to find a refurbished OEM Muncie complete with mount and rods for my '67 2+2 this summer and get rid of the non original Hurst I have in there now..
