I have known the car and the owner for about 15 years or so. It really is a super nice car that gets driven, weather permitting. Don has kept that car longer than any of his other collector cars over the years. He also is a Pontiac guy.
The car is a Not Original Motor car, as was the typical fate for high performance, solid lifter Chevrolet engines before the double valve springs, combined with the factory Muncie shifters. It is an L89, meaning 375-horse 396 with factory aluminum heads. It was bought as a drag car but has never been butchered. Don is a very straight guy and would never miss-represent the car at all.

1969 Chevelle 300 Deluxe Post Coupe SS. A very rare Musclecar in excellent condition and well detailed. Lemans Blue with Black interior. 396 CI, 375 HP, M21 four speed, 3.73 posi rear. This was originally a weekend drag car from Georgia and is a bare bones model with few options. I have had the pleasure of owning this car for 15 years.
