69 Parisienne $2900 Near Vancouver BC

http://vancouver.craigslist.ca/rds/cto/5199946681.html

Not sure about this one. Frame rusted out, body mounts pretty rough and lots of rust and filler in other areas of the body. It was driven year round and parked outside most of it's life.

The people were prepared to give it to me for $1000 before this young fellow came along and paid them around $2500 I believe. I thought a grand was a tad high, and was thinking $750 and pull the drive train. The motor was rebuilt years ago, but has low miles, and receipts.

I'd like to see the lad get his money back, but I have a bad feeling it isn't going to be easy.

Any thoughts from the forum crowd? Am I just unrealistic with today's values?

My feeling is you are right, it will be a stretch to sell it. Not many guys want to change a frame.

Agreed, it looks great but if the frame is rusty and the car can't be safetied, I suspect it could become a parts car, sadly.

I don't remember now. Too many cars have been looked at since then, and I don't trust my memory. You'd have to e-mail or phone him and ask.

I do remember the rebuilt motor and receipts. I do remember the spotlights drilled through the windshield posts. I do remember I almost bought it, thinking maybe I could resurrect it :)

Didn't happen...
