That is former member 67rag396's car, he passed away in early 2012.   That's a 454 under the hood.

I never made the connection.  Kinda sad looking at it now.

Just went back looking over old threads, and here's where he was reassembling it:

Agreed, it's sad, I miss Rick here. I had the pleasure of meeting him a couple of times. What a great guy cry

Yes a sad reminder we lost Rick. This is a great car and especially for that price. I saw it in Three Hills Cruise this year, just as nice as when Rick finished it. Wonder if the LS6 crate enging, Autogear 4spd goes with the car. He has the original 396 4spd in a crate.

Oh wow, that would be a definite bonus!

The 454 in the car is not an LS6 (even though I've heard it was a 450 hp motor which I've never been able get my head around).  I've also heard the original 396 does not go with the car, it's to be used for a different car.

That's too bad.  As much as I appreciate the performance of the 454, a car this rare deserves to be reunited with its original engine some day.

Yes, that is sad.cry It's only half a car in my mind without the original engine.
