One of 2025 of this model, one of 15 with L35 (edited typo) and M20. Somebody send me some money............. I drove one of these back when I was 16, ex mountie car, automatic though. It was a rocket, pale blue with pale blue cloth. I had it to 140MPH (on PEI back road), but it had more.
Nice car.

I think biscuit is any 2 door post Chevy, but it may be only the Biscayne model, not the Bel Air. I have only heard the name with a 2 door post and it may even have been used on the 55?
Bisquick may be a play on the biscuit name and used for the Mark IV Big Blocks that came out first in 65? Bisquick may only apply to 427's, I have no idea.

we called all Biscaynes Buscuit no matter what engine. Called my 66 Belair Beretta after the tv show
I thought they were called Bisquick due to a play on words of the name Biscayne. It didn't matter if they had a six in them (it made fun of the fact in that case, because they were slow).

Bisquick was a pre-mixed biscuit brand of flour. The name was added by Hot Rod magazine on a feature Biscayne years ago. Biscuit was a common nickname back when I was a kid. Our family "Scayne" was also called Biscuit. It was a 63 four door, 230 inliner, 3 on the tree in metallic frost beige I believe was the GM moniker. Biscayne Brown was what I called it.

This one is a L35 35,000.00 buy it now would be a sweet deal in Canadian dollars p.s. notice the P12 option for 14x6 rims I have not seen that before
The P12 option is weird, it shouldn't be an option. Big block cars came with 6" rims as standard equipment as far as I've seen.
when I order my 1990 GMC I ordered the Z71 option. If you ordered the Z71 package you also had to order the 265 tire package option. Made no sense to me. The Z71 option should have included the tires

Kevin, I don't think the tires were a priority when they knew you were ordering the low mileage version. You just need some that don't crack! How many klics on that truck?

Canadianponcho member 427strato (Doug) ordered a 1968 Strato Chief version of that car. His was a base full-size Strato Chief 2-door with manual steering & manual drum brakes 4-speed wide ratio, Positraction, AM radio, power rear antenna, plus his had F41 suspension with front & rear stabilizers rather than F40 h.d. suspension, plus he opted for the L36 385-horse 427. He also sprung for tinted glass all around.
A 67 Strato Chief would be even sneakier than that Biscayne because all it would have said on the fenders was V8.
A single exhaust system was standard right up through the 325-horse 396 on the big cars, N10 dual exhaust system was optional on the L30 327 & the L35 396. The 6" wide P12 wheels were optional, even if the car had a 427. Only the wagons came with the 6" wide wheels as standard (or if you ordered F70-14 tires you would also automatically get 6" wide wheels).
Disk brake cars would have come with 15" diameter wheels. In 67 you could get a non-wagon with 15x5 wheels.
Incidentally if you wanted the 15" wheels and your car didn't come with disk brakes, order option P42 and you would get 15x6 wheels (not Rally Wheels).
Man, I just love that 67! The colour, the low option content, the correctness. The 396 would give pretty good performance while being easier on gas than a 10-12 mpg 427. Insurance would be easier to get and pay for, and in Ontario it was also cheaper to insure cars up to 396 cubic inches. The 396 also ushered in stronger drivetrain components, like 11" clutch, stronger transmissions (Muncie 4-speeds, Warner 3-speeds) plus a 12-bolt rear with dual upper control arms. You actually could order that 396 Biscayne with a Powerglide (3.07:1 axle). A TH400 was offered and would have used a 2.73:1 axle. The manuals would have come with a 3.31:1 axle by default.
