After driving the Beaumont four years in as bought condition the time has come to change the frame, floor pan and trunk pan. I removed the frame from the 66 4dr to use under the 67. Sat the 4dr on a conv. frame so it can be moved around. Stripped the old parts ,pressure washed and degreased. The frame had liberal amounts of oil undercoat but still needs the usual repair around the body mount holes

You have to replace the frame and the floor pan and trunk pan ??????? on the 67 2 door post ?
Yes Carl, the drivers side rear frame section is thin and now has a crack. It could be repaired but the 66 frame is in better condition. Some floor repairs were not done very well so got a full floor pan with braces from OLD GOLD. Car gets "driven" so it needs to be solid.

I think thats the car I bought from a member in Boston (for sure) He told me the frame and floors were mint (not a issue)

I is difficult to find a decent frame around here. The 66 was well oiled and still has really old bias ply tires so not sure when it was last driven on the road . The odometer shows 38k who knows it may be the original mileage.
A little more progress. Holes drilled for body mounts and test fit new floor and trunk pans. Removed interior and exposed previous repairs, lots of pathches that were placed on top of old floor and bronzed .

The new panels are fitted to the 66 4dr frame. It is not a boxed frame. I put the 4dr on the vert frame so it could be moved outside. I know it confuses me also.

Ashmore has a 67 Beaumont 2 door post, a 66 Beaumont 4 door sedan and 66 Malibu SS convertible that he is stripping.
The post has a rusty floor and frame. The sedan has a nice frame, so he rolls that out from under it to use on the post. He puts the convert frame under the 4 door so he can roll the car around.
He has the "new" post frame sitting on the floor in the picture with the new complete floor assembly. That frame and floor are going in to the post car. The convert gets scrapped. The Beaumont sits there looking intact, with a convert frame under it.
