Without a big block who would look at it ? Rat power is cool no doubt about it.

I pulled up some old magazine data road test info from Motor Trend to get an idea of what we are talking about here. Obviously we can't find the identical combo.

1968 Chevrolet Impala SS427 (MT)
427ci/385hp, 3spd auto, 2.73, 0-60 - 7.0, 1/4 mile - 15.40 @ 90mph

Interesting.

I would be willing to be the 4 speed car would run a 1/2 second faster, largely in part to it having 3.31 gears at the minimum, maybe 3.55.

Wow, wouldn't that be something. I wonder if anyone did that? I've never seen a 427 4 speed a/c Canadian Poncho but I've sure thought about it! Nor a 396 4 speed come to think of it.

So that answers the question "Was hood tach a factory option on fullsize?" Not on the list. Dealer install? Super cool car. Love the colour combo.  wink

Alternator is on the wrong side for '68!!! Something doesn't smell right in Denmark...............What else is questionable? I'd like to see the stamp pad but that's me. For the money asking I would've shown it as so not to raise any doubts.

This car was advertised this past fall.  It's only a few miles from me, but I didn't go see it.  I really don't remember what the details of the car are though.
