Amazing 1957 Pathfinder

I'l be the first one to say I don't know much about early Pontiacs - or their market values - but if I had the money/room/spousal signoff, I would seriously think about buying this one!

Well that is a great looking car and the asking price is ok imo. Our purists will have a lot to say about this one, lots to nit-pick here, but overall I'd say its a really nice car.

A 4.3 measures to 262ci....

That being said, I'm sure he meant a 4.1, which is a 250ci... (that's what it looks like) UNLESS, when rebuilt, the stretched the pots to clean them up...

Thanks Vince, that came with a 261 so they are 'close" if original engine, still in it?? 4.3 4.1 means "NOTHING" to me totally lost on this metric, feet & inches, degree F ounces, Lb/s & Miles per/Gal make sense to me!!! not this 9 litres to 100 Km WTF is that!!!

YEA 261, not 250! Jeepers, where's my head at... LOLOL Upon further visual, I can see that the dist is 1/2 way back and not towards the front.... I have no expertise at all in cars and less in the '50's... HAHAHA!

So, I guess a 4.3 would be correct in cross over displacement! Cool... Never thought of it in that regard!

Maybe I'm old school in terms of collecting but I just cant work up any enthusiasm to pay that much for a 4 door sedan especially with the 6 automatic combo.

It's pretty nice, as long as you never open the hood. I think I'd rather have seen custom chrome bumper bullets than the plain rubber chevy ones on there. I also think they're gonna have a hard time getting $20K for it here in Alberta right now. I'm not saying it's not worth it...just not a lot of people feeling spendy right now.

Fuzzy dice should have been out lawed many many years ago. The 57 needs some engine work for sure but over all i like the car but why why why why lower this car!!!!!!!!!!. On the other hand the body looks clean and straight. Every one can debate the price until the cows come home but the reality is that you could not build this car for any where near that kind of money, even if you are doing it yourself.
