You really think only 4900 miles? Why did it need a new top if it's never been driven and been stored inside all it's life? Why did it need a repaint?

It's gorgeous, but it appears to me to be a nice resto on a nice car. Not sure it's worth $90K but I'm no Impala aficionado.

Maybe 4900 since restoration?

As nice a car as this is, i would prefer a 1959 over a 1960 any day of the year. The price is optimistic selling it here in Canada and Canadians will not spend that kind of money for this car. This car would have to be sold to an American or over seas to some of those other country's that pay good money for nice cars. I really hate to say it but we Canadians are cheap and we always have been................ there i said it. Cheers. George

Nice car but it looks restored to me. It has a set of American 348 tri power valve covers(look at the low profile spark plug looms). No Canadian built Chevrolet or Pontiac 348 or 09 cars had bowties. The shroud looks tampered with. Nice car. It won't sell for that. However it is a beautiful 60 Impala Convert! They sure look nice with the top down.-- Edited by mr409 on Friday 5th of February 2016 10:52:52 PM

I was going to say that a factory 348 would have had orange valve covers; a Canadian car would not have the bow tie as was mentioned above. When it comes to reading the firewall on these things, some of you out there are experts on this. As was noted, this would have been a 283 car. I never would have known it was a 283 car. I would have thought that a 348 in 1960 would have used a Turboglide hmm.gif . The Turboglide was a 1-speed, 3-stator automatic. I'd rather have a Powerglide than that.

The car looks really nice. So the car festered a bit as it sat for most of its life, then somebody saved it.

348 is nice as an oddball engine. I wonder what you could build one into using that block?

348's have been built to 650HP, without a supercharger. But, relatively easy to get them to 450HP and run on pump gas.

I think you could get a powerglide or turboglide with a 348, or 3 on the tree, 4 speed in the US. Many turboglides were replaced by PG's, GM even sold a kit for that purpose.
