Thanks but I'm really torn between the Porsche and Maserati, the Ferrari calls my name but its only a 2+2, I still have to be able take 4 passengers with me on family outings. Mopar's just don't do anything for me, besides, my mother in law really likes to make a splash when I pull up at church with her, the Caddy had it for a while but now that Cadillac decided to use 4 and 6 cylinder engines I'm pretty much done with them.
That's a great point. I live in Toronto, the Porsche and Maserati are pretty mainstream here. I'll see a dozen or more Panameras and two or three Quattroportes a day. Cadillacs are outrageous to repair as well ~ I just paid $1200 for a strut, $385 to install it plus tax. But your suggestion is a good one.
Well Ray, if its any help I had to make a decision on a Quadro Porto or CLS63. Pictures are worth a 1000 words. It has been perfect, I am driving in the winter, with snows of course. The car now has 607 hp now thanks to Brabus modifications. Brian

Ray, I went for the E63 AMG, all wheel drive, 577hp and an absolute blast to drive. Plus they sound like a SBC when you get on them.
Years ago I had a Mercedes 560 SEL. People were absolutley amazed that a tank that size would lay rubber at takeoff and a big chirp going into 2nd gear. It wasn't even an AMG.
Now back to the L79. I find it hard to believe those cars bring that kind of money. Kinda cute, but not a $100G's cute.
Fast? back in the day, yes. Now not so much.
A friend of mine has a very minty 67 SS 327 factory 4 speed Nova. He's asking $39,000. Has a well built 350 (NOM). The rest of the car is excellent. White, black buckets, console.
Ray, I like the Ferrari hands down for looks, but if you need a more door I'd throw the Audi RS7 and the Tesla into the mix for consideration as well. For me, I really wanted an AWD driver, I went with a S5 cab.
Ok gents, what am i missing here. There is a real car being presented here...........THE L79. Then you guys start posting photos of modern foreign JUNK. Cheers. George

My questions about this car are,
1) Has it been restored, monkeyed with, or is it really original?
2) Why does it look like it just came out of a "restoration shop" if it only has those miles on it?
3) What would you do with it after spending close to $145,000 Canadian to buy it?
If you start driving it like it should be driven the price will plummet and it will likely blow up that nice L79.
Keep it sealed up in a mancave garage and stare at it with your buddies while you drink beer? I suppose it's much cheaper than a painting by Andy Warhol!
