I've launched myself into the deconstruction of my '54 S.D. and in the next month or so I'll be pulling out the old flat head 6 cylinder and the automatic transmission and replacing them with a small block Chev engine and a turbo 350 tranny. The cylinders are frozen in the block (which is missing the head) but there are still a lot of parts available that are good or rebuildable (eg. starter, generator, manifolds, carburetor, distributor, tranny etc.). If anybody is interested in any of these or other parts they can have them if they pay the shipping costs.
