On SUNDAY JUNE 5 FROM NOON - 2:00 Melanie and family invite friends, neighbours, co-workers and classmates to a BBQ at JERICHO BEACH to celebrate Daves life. Food will be provided but please bring your own lawn chair or picnic blanket. The picnic site is by the pond just west of the parking lot (head west on 4th Ave and turn right on Wallace) look for the red 65 Olds 442 with the sign on top. If you've got an old classic car bring it down.

There has been an unfortunate rash of deaths this year of people in their 50s. It was way too soon for Dave to be taken. It is of little consolation but if nothing else he is no longer suffering.
I do like the sound of a venue to celebrate Dave's life, and a BBQ at Jericho Beach no less. I would attend but I am thousands of miles away in Ontario. My daughter did spend about 2 months in the hostel (ex-barracks) right there at Jericho Beach so I know exactly where the place is.
