Olds fans, rust free 65 Dynamic convertible *** NOT MINE

I know nothing about it, but a rust free 65 Olds convert for 3 grand would be a GREAT start if it's a car you want.

It actually looks like a 1966.

I was thinking that being a Dynamic 88 means the standard engine would be a 330 and the transmission, being automatic, would be a 2-speed Jetaway (sort of a Powerglide but with a variable pitch stator). I was wrong, as the Delmont 88 would have been so equipped. I checked the brochure and the standard Dynamic 88 engine was a 425 2-barrel (!)  high compression (!) with 310 horse but loads of torque. Transmission in that instance would be a TH400 with a variable pitch stator. Awesome! My brother had a Delta 88 so equipped and it would burn rubber (1 wheel peel) for a block just by throttle.

Potentially a very good car.

Ya man, wash the darn thing. I guess this whole barn find thing is getting out of hand. I guess if you have a barn, "friends" want to store their cars for free or next to nothing. It is hard to say for sure but it looks like that Aztec Bronze colour inside & out. That is a plus.

My car salesman Dad drove one of these for a while, it was a used 4 door HT, factory duals, rear sway bar, and posi, 4 barrel, it would lay a lot of 2 strip rubber. Pretty high gearing, they had a high speed top end. Always remembered that car, it was a 66 I think.
