1964 Pontiac Laurentian in good condition. About 30,600 miles. (49,245 kilometres) 230 six-cylinder engine, unrestored, original paint, interior in excellent condition, manual steering, manual drum brakes. Will have a new appraisal done soon, to help determine asking price.
Yes, that's the one I've been drooling over. Owner had it appraised 11 years ago and feels it needs to be done again before he can put a price on it. I explained to him that an appraisal doesn't necessarily mean asking price. We'll see.
That's a really NICE car.....except for ONE thing.......and it's NOT the spare tire....
The fuzzy dice! Throw 'em away!
I like the car.

If it were a Custom Sport HT....we'd be all over it........and there's a 64 HT on every street corner,it seems..
Just try and find another NICE 2dr post...
That one is prolly the cleanest unmolested one..... left on the planet......and how many NICE 64's do you see for less than 10K....JMO...
If I was interested in the car, the condition tells me I won't have much to do once I buy it.
Looks like a nice turn-key car for $8,000 firm......... and my guess Mr.Firm will end up selling it for less after a couple of weeks of no offers at "firm".
I don't see 8K as being out of line for this car if it's represented correctly. To buy a project car and work on it eats up 8 grand REAL fast. I can tell how that goes with a certain black GP I just sold to another member here. If this car is truly a needs-nothing, just hop in and drive car, my thoughts are that's a good price but not a steal of a deal. It would be a lot sweeter with another pedal though, and a 283 or 327.
Paint at least $3000, could be more if there's rust repair to do
Bumper chroming $1500
We're getting close to 8 grand and you don't have an original car, you have one that's likely been rusty and repaired, fixed up with Chinese parts cause that's all there is available, so on and so on.........
8 grand doesn't buy a lot any more.

i ts cheaper to find a unmolested time capsule like this one
than a complete resto
take my word ....
my Beaumont is sucking up a deranging ( by moment)
amount if money
but it will be nice once completed
so much to do still but i am at about 70% done

just find a 283 or 327 warm it up and dual s beef up the suspention a bit that will set you back 2 to 3 g s and enjoy a nice sleeper
STOP......leave it just the way it is......except for the "furry dice".....
In a sea of "chromed out" SBC's at the car shows......you'd have the ONLY inline 6...Not one that has been pimped out with a V8......and a bunch of cheap china chromed CRAP...
62--66 2dr post 6 cyl. x frame cars....CP's and chevys ...were common as DIRT ...around here ...in the late 60's......you could get a "driver" for 100 bucks....They were a salesmans car (fleet car)....and have ALL been modified or scrapped...
This one...being a Laurentian...is a notch above that....and deserves to saved from that......It's part of our heritage....
I wonder if the other snow tire comes with it?......

That car is worth 8 grand all day long.Up here a decent paint job is 5 grand if you can get it done.
All I would do to the car is a complete fluid change ,brake check and adjustment and new radial tires. Leave the rest of it all original and do not even paint any of the engine compartment.
