Yes I think the owner before used it to talk back to his wife when out and about. I believe it was towed behind a motor home because of the tow bar at the front of the car.

I still have the 77 Civic brochure from Stirling Honda in Hamilton, the year that dealership opened and replaced the old Red Barn fast food joint. The Hondamatic was like a Torque Drive from GM. It was a 2-speed semi automatic. That year Honda also offered a Hondamatic 750 cc motorcycle, but that offering switched for 1978 to being based on a 400 cc Honda Hawk.
Where on earth did you find that old Civic? I thought Civics of that era disappeared sometime during the 1980s/90s.

You should put it on Ebay. I bet there's a collector in the U.S that would pay way more than your asking price.
x 2.
I owned a 74 Honda, same body style.

Jason, If it was closer to me, I'd buy it before you could say the word "Civic".

That said, sometimes the most collectible things are items that were really popular and prolific, and not necessarily valuable in their time, like the VW Beetle for example.
I can't think of any small FWD cars that have really achieved high collector value, but if any were to do that I'd think the Civic would be one of them. These cars were everywhere when they were current, but man did they rust badly. To see a pristine sample today is really extraordinary, so I think it's just a matter of finding the right buyer.
My first car was a honda scamp N360. Air cooled, four speed. The gearstick hung off the bottom of the dash. Tiny thing for my 6' 2" frame. I liked it though. Cheap to run. Blew the motor. First motor I ever replaced. I undid the motor bolts and my dad helped me lift the front of the car up and off the motor. Rolled the car back and did the job.
