69 Beaumont Trunk emblem placement

Anybody have dimensions for the correct trunk emblem placement? My car has a Chevelle trunk lid and I filled the holes when I built the car 15 years ago. Finally found an emblem for the trunk lid. Now I just need to drill the holes in the right spot. Measure 18 times, drill once!

Did you want the measurements for the holes ? I can grab them tomorrow for you ( assuming mine is in the correct spot!)

That would be great if you can get me the measurements. There's not a lot of 69's around so even if it's not 100% correct, who will notice?

Hope this helps.

I would drill the first hole 2-9/16 x 3-11/16 then line your emblem with that hole and pivot it down until the last hole is around 1-15/16 from bottom edge.  And then mark four other holes.

That's exactly what I need, much appreciated! Now maybe I'll get less "nice Chevelle" comments.

All mounted. Now people don't have to walk to the front of the car to see what it is.
