Awesome 65, nice, optioned just the way I would like it.
Wonder when it was last on the road and what it looks like underneath.
Of course Wallace Enterprises, Stonewall Manitoba doesn't have a website yet!
Neat car, thanks for sharing!
THANK-YOU, THANK-YOU THANK-YOU.... for opening this thread an jogging my memory on a car I took pics of and never posted! This one too, hails from the Winnipeg area... This was brought to Saskie by a fellow that moved to town several years ago... While it looks decent, the frame is rotted but with a little TLC, I am sure it wouldn't take long to make it safe again... Someone installed the A/C... Not sure how the got the British mag...
I don't mean to hijack, but this is where it belongs... Maybe someone will know the original owner... and there is some useful info in the magazine pics!
Vince, this is a long shot but by ANY chance does this car have an extra tail light installed in the tail panel to make it look like a Bonneville?
In the 80's I went to look at the twin to this car when it was listed for sale and it had a third tail light on each side. I saw it years later right on the edge of the city in a driveway one Sunday afternoon and I've never seen it again.

When I went to see it, the original owner was selling it. He told me that 3 of them (he and two buddies) all bought 65 Custom Sport 4 speed cars roughly the same time and that one of the other cars if not both (I can't recall) had a 409.

Small world, eh? Yes, it does! If I remember tomorrow when I am out and about, I will snag a picture...

Notice the redline on the tach? That goes along with what is commonly said about late 65's (this one was delivered in June I see). It's said that late 65 had red on the tach face, early are all green like the one in the first post.

COOL!!! Glad to know it went to an enthusiast. It's not looking quite as nice as it did in the 80's though.

What's not cool is that the guy sold the car to another fellow here in town but pulled the engine... Not sure what it went for but not the heck of a lot... I noticed the valve cover design from another post... not sure which ones there are...
That is so neat. I often thing of cars I remembered seeing at one time and wonder what ever came of them. When I was a kid there was a stunning 64 Impala convertible that ran around town. Ran into it about 5 years ago. Unfortunately it bounces now
The gauge it has was for fuel economy? I remember seeing them in 65 cars, did they appear in other years?
Rare car with the factory 4 speed, I don't remember seeing one of them in a 65 Pontiac or Chev. A 65 Pontiac with a factory 409 and 4 speed would likely be one of one. Don

The red 65 has been there awhile. Well optioned 4sp car who would have thought? Wonder what it's like underneath?
I never went and had a close look as I don't have the best relationship with the owner, I'll leave it at that.
Why is the steering wheel on the right side of the car? Anyone not see that in the picture? Even the pic of the wheel with the location of everything is on the right side of the dash. The corner of the dash is to the right........

Yeah C'mon, you likely have that motor stashed somewhere waiting to drop it into the Chief....
Wrong year for it, no 409's in 66. But if there had been......!
I get an unfair rap anyway. In some cases, I parted out a big block B body just to put the big block in another B body. It's not as if they all ended up in Chevelles and Camaros!
