With respect to the Silver car it was ordered on March 6, 1965 and the final sale was completed on June 21, 1965. This was the standard 3 months turnaround on customer ordered cars back then. I can recall my dad ordering a 1970 LeMans with the same wait period, something happened to the 65 Laurentian and he went back in to cancel the order but bought a stock vehicle, a 1970 Tempest. I waited 3 months for my 1986 Monte Carlo SS too.

Vince, this is a long shot but by ANY chance does this car have an extra tail light installed in the tail panel to make it look like a Bonneville?
In the 80's I went to look at the twin to this car when it was listed for sale and it had a third tail light on each side. I saw it years later right on the edge of the city in a driveway one Sunday afternoon and I've never seen it again.
Small world, eh? Yes, it does! If I remember tomorrow when I am out and about, I will snag a picture...

Talking about a small world.....My uncle was likely pulling wrenches at Dickson Motors....when that sales contract was written...
The AC box on the cowl almost fooled ME for a minute....
How nice does it have to be? I know of at least one in my favourite wrecking yard but I can't recall how good it is. I took the power windows out of the car a few years ago.

I have a couple of pitted ones in MN here also, tough to find good ones.
What's the price tag on the red 4 speed? looks like a decent project!
Carl, I have family approval for Black Friday Picking at the yard!! I have not spoke with Randy yet about it though.

good point, do a lot of people go to Grand Forks to shop? Never thought of that as a potential issue.
Maybe as and incentive, I plan to bring My in-laws John Deere Gator with so I don't have to worry about water or difficulty getting around there!!! It's has 4 seats so lots of room to haul parts and people!

Well most importantly is not bent or damaged but letters missing is fine since they're both 10 letters for an easy change. The biggest issue with these is the pitting and how bad it is, whether it could be re-chromed etc.

Have you taken it there before? I'm not sure he would be keen on having it running around in the yard.

I did and he was ok with it. I picked it up from the dealer where it was having service work done so it was with me anyway and he said it was ok for me to take it.

I had forgotten the driver's side antenna, although maybe it wasn't there 35 years ago. When I drove it, the paint was pretty nice still. I guess it had lots of years outside since then.
Sure is a neat car.
