As far as American Pontiacs go a 61 Bonneville tops my personal favourite list. I love those triple lens tail lights.
We had a 61 Strato Chief two door sedan in Midnight Blue and a family from Michigan would come to vacation on Georgian Bay just down the road from our cottage and they had a 61 Bonneville in midnight blue. Our Strato Chief was definitely the poor pip squeek cousin to that car.
Cool convertible. It will be great to see some more pictures and some future progress pictures. Welcome from Canada's east.

Hi : No I do not have 8 lug wheels , but most likely I am not going with stock wheels might install air ride. Are your 8 lug wheels 1961 date coded correct ? or newer as there is a difference .
Thanks : They sure are and have the cleanest lines ,but in my opinion a little under appreciated compared to pre 60 Models . But who knows in the future ?
David, a hardy welcome aboard from Milton, Ontario. Thank you for saving that beautiful 61 and loads of good luck to you to restore that gem. Please keep us all posted here on C.P. about all the resto updates. Cheers. George

That Bonneville is a worthy project.
I'm sure it won't be easy but it sure would be nice to resurrect a beautiful car like that.
Good luck with the build!!!
And welcome to the site!!!

I find that taking the car apart is very easy , putting it back together is where the fun begins.
How true!

Those pictures bring back memories of my build and you have the same rotisserie. Makes it easy to position it just right for the work you are doing. You have taken on quite the project and with the progress that you have made so far is pretty damn good. Keep up the good work, but as I was told by a restorer don't rush it. Keep us posted as you have.
