I am getting started on my "winter project". I got it home in June , took it out of the trailer in September ordered a bunch of tin in November and it is time to get started. The drivers rear quarter and outer wheel house were removed by previous owner. I have removed the rocker panel, inner wheel house and trunk extension and started fitting the new panels.
The drivers quarter came with the car so I don't know what brand it is but overall it fit quite well. I spent a few hours getting it aligned, main trouble spot was the door jamb area. All other panels are goodmark and fit good so far.
Thanks for taking the time to post the pictures. I have similar work to do on my 68SD and it really helps to see the progress and hear about the challenges and how you overcame them. Keep it coming!

Welcome to the site. I assume you bought the sd from Roger. Anything you need a pic of or advise on just let me know.
Thanks. I will be sure to ask. I took custody of Roger's SD (and a whole truck load of parts) in the fall. Roger had been collecting parts for 15 years and sold all the parts with the car. Now I have responsibility to bring it back to its former glory. Many of you know Roger and some have dealt with him. It was a pleasure doing business with him. He is a true car guy. The car is in storage for now but I hope to have it as a driver this coming summer.
A little bit of progress. Driver side is welded in place. Time to do it all again on the passenger side. Last pic is Camaro project that is getting an overhaul including ls swap and lots of other good stuff.
Once again great pics. Could you post a close up of how you join the new quarter into the roof. Will you lead that joint or what how will you finish it? Thanks.

I don't know what Randy is using, but they do make a special body filler for this type of work.
