6.5 turbo diesel... I didn't know a 700R4 would bolt up to a diesel (other than than maybe the '70's 350 CI diesel). I wouldn't expect it to stand up to the torque, but maybe I'm wrong?

Selling my car lots of time and effort went into this it is original paint natural patena almost no rust 24"wheels has a 6.5 gm turbo diesel 700r4 trans fun car gets a ton of looks and intrest needs to go
700r4 was the stock trans behind the 6.2 and early 6.5 diesels. Some small internal differences, but most of the difference is the stall speed of the convertor and that it uses 6 bolts rather than three.
The 6.5 TD was just under 200 hp, but over 400 ft/lbs of tq so it should move that car around pretty smartly, and likely top 30 mpg on the highway. My 83 C10 with the 6.2 diesel regularly got better than 25 mpg highway with much worse aerodynamics.
I'd say the "bro" rims are more of a crime, although a lot easier to change.
it would make a great highway cruiser I think, as long as it's the mechanically injected 6.5. The computer controlled version had a ton of problems with PMD's over heating among other things. The mechanically injected version was pretty damn reliable though.

I would have no issue DDing that, ditch the wheels for some Torque Thrust Ds
add some shoulder belts and disk brakes for safety
