Hideaway Lights vacuum to electric

Has anyone ever converted vacuum hideaway lights for a 68 Parisienne from vacuum to electric? Any advice from members? I saw a conversion kit for GTO from Ames for $990 a bit rich for me I think! Thanking you in advance

I'm wondering the same thing , if a fella could go full electric or go electric over vacuum, with a canister and solenoid to dump the vacuum to open or close the headlight doors, hopefully someone will shed some light on our concerns lol good luck !

Sorry, did not think that my question was not clear enough, fully understand how they currently work. Actuators for various applications come in pneumatic, hydraulic and electric was wondering if anyone had done away with the vacuum set up and converted to electric thanks for your input
