Just scored a 57 Hardtop!

She's crusty but on the road! Going to cut the front coils, 3" lowering blocks. Mexican blanket seat covers and put some cragars or steel wheels on it. Keeping it a Rat-roddish driver

........love it - my first car was a 57 4 door in that color combo. It had a 283, 4 bbl and a three speed......car was a terror in

high school circa 1963.......biggrin

Adamo, that 57 looks like it will be a fun rat rod for you but what really caught my fancy is that four door hardtop in the back ground. Adamo, can you tell us anything about that original restored gem in the back ground. I noticed you have the very rare exterior sun visor on that car. Cheers. George

I like your underhood photo showing the electric wiper motor and heater hose routing. I think I've seen about 20 different ways to run the heater hoses, that's in addition to the 1 correct way.

The pics are in the sellers garage... he told me the 4 door will be for sale shortly as well. Keep an eye on Kijiji Hamilton

Congratulations on a awesome score. Looks like someone pulled the 6cyl and installed a later V8. I like the way you are thinking. Have fun with the new ride.

Car finally arrived. Little rougher than I thought but not terrible. Does anyone know if it shares the same rockers and lower quarters as a 57 Chevy? Or is it 55-56?

Bad news, those rockers and lower quarters are on there own. 57 Chev rockers and quarters are very different than the Pontiac. The 57 Pontiac rockers look a bit like 55 Chev rockers because they both have the concave look but i am not sure if you can use the 55 Chev rockers. That is a question for the C.P. brotherhood.

Adamo, any up dates on your 57. Do you know if 55 Chev rockers will work on your 57 yet ? Good luck and cheers. George

I put a 57 chev rocker on my 57 Lauretian 4dr. hardtop, left side fit perfect but when the right side arrived it was just wrong, no concave.

Didn't see this before but use a 55 Chev rocker. A 57 Chev rolls under with no concave/lip.
