Bernie, congrats on your beautiful 67 Beaumont SD 396 being featured in the March 6, 2017 issue of Old Auto's newspaper. When i got my issue and saw that beauty, i knew right away. She is looking real fine and how many copies did you buy of the issue with your car. Cheers. George

they send several extra copies and a suitable for framing copy of that page plus a congrats note.

Always nice to see a Canadian Pontiac or a Beaumont or Acadian on display.

Congrats Bernie - I use to buy '66-67 Beaumont parts from Ross Clarke, in the early 80's...what a swell guy, and he sure knew his Beaumont's.

I was fortunate enough to see your SD when Ross owned it and it's one fine example of an original Sport Deluxe....nice to see it end up in Goderich.

 

I remember chatting with him and asking why he was selling his pride & joy 1967 SD hardtop.

- something about his wife couldn't drive a 4 speed / if he kept it, a 400 Turbo would be needed & auto conversion might break his heart

- turns out his heated/AC garage also had a brand spanking new Buick '87 GNX plus a yellow Olds '71 W-31 convertible (mint)

- and one car had to go, he was getting more up in years & started to enjoy newer tin with creature comforts

- took the purchase of an very expensive GNX (1 of 547 produced, in 1987) to necessitate his 1967 Beaumont SD sale 

We even chatted a few times at Barrie Flea Market (in Fall) and one night driving home I assisted him & his family on the 401, due to mechanical problem.

 

Also, your car was featured on the cover of NCOA (National Chevelle Owners Association)...April 1983 or '84, if memory serves me correctly.

- I've got that Classic Sixties magazine to...always enjoyed going to the local News Depot and looking for a featured Beaumont, in print

 Through the generosity of a fellow in Tennessee I was able to acquire a copy of the Chevelle Report, no charge.

We have owned this car for 32+ years - our favorite of all time.

Yesterday our 3 1/2 year old grandson saw the inside of our shop on Zoom and picked out the Beaumont as his favorite.
