Finally figured out smart phone pictures?? Well it's not a Poncho but "close" ?? 1964 Chevy Impala S/S Htp. Factory 409/ 4spd !!!! previous owner has had it 15 yrs. or so and only put 2000 miles in all that time. Old Insurance appraisal says it was " restored" by the Guild, previous to 2002 Straight as an arrow down the sides, paint has held up well, interior is almost 'perfect" Engine has been rebuilt, [when ?] shows 70,000 on the odometer. Even the clock works!!!! Found it not far from home,[20mile] & don't think I've ever seen it at any shows or cruises, dam there all upside down when loaded
Pete, it is good to see that you do not take long to bounce back, my friend. Pete, what a B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L. 64 Chevy SS and a 409 !!!!. what are you trying to do, make us all green with envy. You really came back with a vengeance and i am almost afraid to find out what number two is going to be. Congrats and good luck with your new time machine. Cheers. George

American Chevy SS's had those swirls on the dash and exterior trim, Canadian SS's had frosted appearance instead.
....
Previous owner must have brought it up from the U.S. California ?
I did not know that about the side trim & dash, good to know!
I wonder if that is the car I saw in Greensville, Ontario around 79/80. The guy previously had a black 63 409 dualquad Impala SS coupe that came from California that he sold, then replaced with an Ember Red 64 Impala SS 409. He later had a 60 Biscayne Sedan Delivery that he sold back in 1984. Going way back, he also owned a 70 Super Bee from new until 1977. The black Impala SS followed that one I believe.
Anyway, it must be predestined since your handle has always been dualquadpete. There is a silver lining in that black storm cloud that passed through your life recently. Congrats on scoring a nice one!

Yes you did!!! bet you weren't thinking a " 9 er " 4 speed car??? " go big or go home"
Nope, but I was thinking Impala ... I just never said it. Good choice!
I was looking at a '64 SS 409 at one time in Shediac, NB. The thing that turned me off was the custom interior.

Pete
I found that I was holding the camera the wrong way being left handed. Mother said I was born backwards.....
Might have had something to do with it ha ha ha
Note which end has the shutter button and flip the camera over so the shutter button is on the other side.
Takes some experimenting.
