Here is what i think is an interesting car that ahows up regularly in South winnipeg and the downtown area in the summer
i think it belongs to a lawyer because I once saw it going into the parking garage for the Artis Buildiing at 360 main - this is a downtown highrise that contains a couple of big winnipeg law firms
Anyway i had only seen it in traffic or from a distance typically in on weekday mornings on my way to work- it typically would be top down with the owner in a suit cruising to work in the early morning rush hour
Yesterday it was parked at the Fountain tire on Fort street and i happened to be walking by a the right time and i snapped these shots
its a 307 car - probably typical of how a lot of these cars where ordered - the buckets and console are a nice touch - I was expecting to see a column shift
Was an old mans car from the fort gary area. I remember seeing it back in the mid 1990s, is suppose it could still be in the family. Have not seen it for years, kind of forgot about it. Gary Anderson may know more about it.

MY BEAUMONT HAS 4 STUDDED TIRES AND 2 BLOCKHEATERS......AND LOTS OF OIL UNDERNEATH. The other one has a longer roof.
My heart almost stopped when I clicked on the photo of this gorgeous 1968 Custom Beaumont convertible.
It is almost identical to my very first car which I purchased new, fresh out of Ryerson in Toronto, in 1968. I think my downpayment paid for the tires, lol.
Mine was a 307, verdoro green, Custom with a white top, glass back window, wheel discs and white walls. I could not afford the upgrade to buckets and console. Mine had a 2 speed auto on the column and a bench front seat.
I would love to own one again. If anyone knows where this car is today, or any other 1968 Beaumont Custom Convertible is located, I would appreciate hearing from you.
Thanks,
Joe

This car has been around for years when we were growing up in Fort Garry. It is a very clean original car. Even though I grew up in the area I still have no idea where it lives or who owns it-the car gets driven very little. It is in excellent original condition. He probably has a list miles long of people wanting to buy it from him. Its a beauty for sure.
I actually know the owner thru a mutual friend of my Dads. Have talked with him. It was his Mother in laws new, lived in ft garry. Has had work done, i think he mentioned rockers were rust repaired at one point, but it is a clean original mostly. Does have a repaint. He is a busy guy, and hardly ever drives it, but lives in st vital somewhere around me, but not sure exactly where. car is basicly never for sale tho.
