I am trying to find any history on my 1948 Pontiac Silver Streak that I bought last year and imported to England.
I believe the car was last registered in The Province of Prince Edward Island on Plate No 618BP, chassis No 201911180. The car has been kept in very good largely original condition, but has had a re-spray at some point. I need to get some work done on the steering and brakes, but I understand that parts used at the time were Chevrolet ( to my cost after ordering Pontiac parts!). Any info would be helpful and if anybody can confirm what Chevrolet parts I need for the tie rod ends including the long one on the passenger side and the braking system.
Welcome to Canadian Poncho. I remember seeing the ad for this car when it was for sale. I was so tempted to go and look at it. Unfortunately I don't know anything about the owners.
Beautiful car!
I saw your car at a car show on PEI once upon a time. Nice!

I think the previous owner was/is affiliated with the Spoke Wheel Car Museum here on PEI.
