Quite easy as it's all accessible. No you don't have to touch the springs. Shocks unbolt at both top and bottom.

THE TOP BOLT on the shocks get a 9/16 socket with a long extension and bend it back and forth to brake the top bolt off 6 inches back and forth the bottom bolts come off the bottom take shot clips

A neat trick we used at the shop when changing front shocks was to use a deep socket over the stem of the front shocks with a long extension bar and bend the nut and stem until it broke off.

Quick and slick, then go underneath and drop the shock out the bottom after you have removed the two bottom bolts.

Those were the days.

that was quick , and sounds simple , i just didnt got Under the car to study the thing

so i will top off the top stud on those 30 year old shocks and slip in new Monroes So the shock should come from Under if i understand .

thanks

well my only issue with the front shocks are the nuts in the table are not welded in and i dont have any clips .......and today is Canada day ohh well i would of got some fat metal screws in there

i will use my little fingers and try to slip in some conventional nuts to finish the job.

Happy Canada day to all

Lucky me i found inner fender clips that fit in my table to hold those shocks

i broke the sway bar bushing support bolts so.................. im still f*****cked

but i was driving this car without sway bar links for years and the front end would shift down like the car was falling off a cliff when i would let go the gas pedal at 80 mph

so i can wait to drive it with new shocks ( riped out shocks i put in 1987 ) sway bar links and bushings oem GM in the box

once a get some bolts ******
