Heres a facebook story for you and see how far and fast it reaches.I woke up Monday morning, went outside to go to work and found an empty parking spot where my truck was parked the night before. So after calling the police and waiting on hold for 25 minutes I posted it up on facebook and it began to get shared.About four hours later a friend of a friend who had seen the post was driving in Calgary, about 50 kms from where it was stolen, and saw the truck parked on the side of the road.He pulled over, called the cops and waited with the truck until the police arrived.I should have the truck back in the next few days and then can access the damage.Thankfully insured for theft.I doubt the truck would have been found so quick if it hadn't been for facebook.

The one thing Facebook is good for is the abundance of automotive related pages and classifieds. Here in PEI there are a number of pages devoted to cars for sale, parts for sale, antiques, collectibles etc. Many items don't ever show up on Kijiji. I've found plenty of good deals and have sold a lot of items there too. I had one helluva time finding a fuel sending unit for my 88 YJ (many websites list it but when you order it's not in stock). I reached out to the PEI Jeep club and sure enough a member worked for a parts supplier in New Brunswick and I had the correct sending unit in a few days. You can join Facebook and not have any "friends" and don't have to post all your drama (lol). You can just join the car related groups and classified pages.

Exactly what I've done. All I need is to have another place to read more stuff from drama queens like JohnneeD biggrin

I use it for our local classifieds, it's great.

No luck for me either. I copied and pasted-

Pontiac Pathfinder, Pathfinder deluxe, Laurentian 1953-1954

But still no luck. I'll keep trying.
