Beautiful car. Provincial White with Bright Blue interior is a nice combination. It looks like the correct Bendix master cylinder for a disk brake car. All the chrome is in place, including the elusive (hence expensive) rear trim. The seller is asking a lot of money but the car looks worth checking out. It is better to pay up front for a complete and solid car than to go down the money pit of restoration costs route.
Yes, the seller is making some heady claims. Stripe delete? What is that? Bench seat column shift 1 of 3? The bench seat was standard on the 738-series Sport Deluxe. A friend used to own a bench seat column shift 67 SD396 with the M40 trans. Sure they are rare, but overstating and inflating claims just makes one look desperate or misinformed. He claims it is the only one left. I guess the other one I know of is just a mirage then? Unless.... It says that it is an automatic. Is is a Powerglide or a TH400? Judging by the pan it almost appears that it is a Powerglide. If it is a bench seat Powerglide L34 then the claim may actually be legit. It sure would be nice to get the explanation in the ad as it would lend credibility where due. Ahem.
The problem with pictures is sometimes the seller only shows what they want to show. I guess the ad does whet one's appetite enough to contact the seller with questions, which is what an ad is supposed to do after all.

Only 1 known. 1 of 3 built. Completely restored, I have all original parts and a binder of documentation. Deleted Stripe package, seat order with A52 option front bench seat and column shift, 396, Certified. This is a Cash Sale, No Trade. Call Steve 705-696-3867
this car sat inside from 1987 until 2006, its a numbers match 396/325 was 2-speed now three speed, bench seat, was white on bright blue, painted blue in the 1980's, tons of documentation, four owner history, typical Ontario body issues but its complete currently plated and makes a nice driver-if you want cherry its not for you,
I think I have it sorted out that this car was white, then blue, now original white again. Sharp car, and yes, certainly unusual. The ad doesn't say but I assume it's matching numbers?

So this is Ken Leblancs old car? now restored to original gm docs specs
Cool car, but yes i had all the same thoughts as Cam, bang on. i have never seen GM docs that break down production numbers that low or pertaining to how many were made of a particlular color, etc.

as for being matching numbers if it was it would be stated likely in bold print.<
I pondered that possibility but he gives very few details about the car, seems more like he wants people to call and he will tell them about it on the phone.

There was a white with blue buckets 67SD 396 car restored in winnipeg, didn't last long, sold south (I believe) in the late 90s I'm guessing... anyone know the car?
