Barn find 59 Parisienne 2 door hardtop

Great find on the hdtp. Now that's a true Canadian car. Six cylinders and all.

No. It's in Quebec.

Nice.  I have noticed many times by the kijiji ads that Quebec seems to have more interesting cars in general than the other provinces.

Your friend is very lucky, that's a beaut!

Love the car. In your opening post you say it's a 283/V8 car. Where is the 283 now?

My friend had mistakenly thought it was a 283 car.

Ahhhh. It would have been the first year for the bored-out 265 (thin wall 283).

Yep, initially a bored-out 265. They had problems with thin cylinder walls after boring, so subsequently they made a true 283 casting.

I am the lucky owner of this 59 Parisienne. I will keep the board posted about what I will do with this car. For now, I am just really glad that I saved it from its sad state where it was.

Looks like a real solid Pontiac....for a Canadian 59......

If you run your VIN through Oshawa.....they should be able to tell you how many Parisienne HT's.... that were built with 6's...
