Stock shocks - and what about F41?

Normally on my restored cars I'll take a KYG gas-adjust and use paint and stickers to make it look somewhat appropriate.  I might do that again, or I might put the right spiral shocks on it.

I remember being about 8 and helping my Dad change read shocks (he thought the fronts would be tough, which is funny to me now knowing how they drop out!), and all I remember is blue and spiral.  But that's a hazy kids' memory.  Anyone know what our cars actually looked like?

Also, I can't find any indication of different shocks with F40 or F41.  Same shocks?

BTW, here's what I found from my book, which has been hit or miss of late:

Front:

(STD) 3192971 - 1969 ALL - WITH SPEC PERF FRONT AND REAR SUSP
(F41) 5557125 - 1969 ALL - WITH TAXI EQUIP, HD, OR SPEC PERF FRONT AND REAR SUSP

Rear:

3197636 - ALL

They list about 4 different categories for rear shocks but they all wind up using the same number! So far as I can tell, then, there's a special front shock but not for the rear?

Oh man, I'm on a roll today! Here's a set of NOS rear shocks, only $800, that I won't be buying. I've graciously left them for the next guy Right part number and everything.

Like Y96 on American cars F41 COULD include firmer shocks, firmer springs and bigger or added sway bars. However in many applications you only got some of those. The key is having a MPC printed within 12 months of that years production. I'd be inclined to avoid pricey NOS shocks, who knows what shape they are in or how many bumps they'll survive with 50 year old seals.
