Quite a find and reasonably priced, though it would need to be gone through.
I disagree with the seller about adding trim from a higher model. The beauty of these plain jane Canadian cars is their austerity, it actually shows the lines of the car better, IMHO.
Seller also has the quasi-Mopar thought pattern of "it needs a hemi"... in this case the hemi wasn't available in Plymouth in 1957 (just the polysphere), but furthermore a plain car like this with a six is somehow fitting.
That said, an understated hot rod with an early hemi would be cool, though, but keep the low-line trim. A hot LA block (340-360) would actually be a good choice as well IMHO.
1957 Plymouth: Their sales slogan was "suddenly its 1960."
Dad's first new car was a 1957 Plymouth Plaza 2-door sedan. Bought to replace a $50 Model A he picked up after the war, his Plymouth was pink & white like the 4-door shown by Bigdreams above, and had a flathead six with a 3-speed manual. I never saw the car except in a picture; dad replaced it in 1961 with a new Biscayne 4-door. I came home from the hospital in that one in 1961. Shown here in a 1965 photo, it was replaced in December 1965 with a new 1966 Biscayne.

It has a later 413 with a GM 700R4 using an adapter. Notice the side windows are custom (vent windows removed).
I have seen this 58 at numerous car shows in southern Ontario. It is very impressive to say the least. These cars got a very bad rap for poor quality and fit but they sure were real good looking cars, especially in Fury form.
