could someone here tell me what the original color of my car was? I know the body was emerald green, but I am not sure the top was really white originally.
Here's what I've been able to come up with
Style 7737 = Parisienne 6 cylinder ( 261 cu in ) 2 door hardtop
Paint 226 = snow crest white over emerald mist mettalic
trim 920 = green
BSO 6A = ( just a guess ) the district sales office through which the car was ordered.
original price = $3230
weight = 3760 pounds
serial numbers started at 9773700001 and up
Hope this helps.
BTW I may have a source for some 1959 green material or vinyl ( I don't know which ) left over from a friends project.
My 62 Chev Bel Air 2 door HT was a 6A, might be padded dash? I think it was an option, not a sales office. I had a second car, same year, it had no padded dash and no BSO codes. Both were Canadian powerglides cars, one a 283, one a 6.
