There's been discussion on this in the past. When GM put a 4 speed in a car, it looks like the worker on the assembly line cut the hole in the floor with a torch.
I took this picture yesterday in a wrecking yard. It's a 64 Grand Prix that is most certainly a factory 4 speed car.
There's a few more puzzle pieces have to fall into place but each day brings me closer, and today I hope to have one of the major pieces of the puzzle. Actually I may even be on your side of the city a bit later but a bit east of you.
