cannot unlock doors, 64 parisienne 2 door.

i cannot unlock the doors with the keys or door button unless i pull up slightly on the interior door release handle.  Need to fix this problem before i install the side glass. Both doors do this ever since locks were pulled for paint. no other mechanisms were touched.

any suggestions would be appreciated.

solution found, reproduction door handles have longer actuator rod. I had to cut off 3/8". Locks work properly now.

Do they react this way both open and closed in the jamb?

I see you have a solution - I was going to say sounds like something is causing them to stick a little but odd it would have been both at the same time. but the new handles would do it. Do you have photos of your project?

image.jpegYes, the scoop is functional. I cut the hole in the hood. The weiand air cleaner tucks neatly into the scoop.

Yep, mine also ... was white, repainted white by the previous owner. It will be black at some point.
