66 Beaumont speedo cable and backup light wiring routing with Sagnaw 4 speed

Find someone who is, it's a LONG thread and has a ton of good info from Canadian guys.

Do you have the documents for your car showing M20? Or is it on the cowl tag too I suppose?

I just can't figure out why there is no firewall hole for the harness. The speedo cable is making sense that it's in the same spot as a Powerglide though.

M20 on my docs and cowl tag. One picture I seen showed two single wires coming out single halls of the firewall but my car does not even have those holes

Pardon my ignorance but would a pic of a 66 Beau auto 327 firewall be of benefit?

Hang up and keep reading!

I called my friend wanting to visit him tonight but he wasn't home. I'll try another night.

Not really Geoff, it has to be from a manual trans to show where the backup light wire harness runs and possibly showing the alternate location for the speedometer cable to come through the firewall.

Ok. Never would have guessed the speedo cable location would be different. Lots to learn!

It created a very productive discussion where some people learned some things about these cars. Nothing bad about that!

That figures. You try and do a favour for someone who is "car intelligence challenged" (JD) and look what happens.

So now you've figured our your mystery of the backup harness, do you need a harness for the inside of the firewall that runs from the firewall back to the connector at the steering column? I have a spare...
