Fords In The Park Car Show. Halton Hills, Ontario. Saturday June 16, 2018.
Permalink Closed

You might be wondering why i am posting a Ford car show, well my kid brother Mike bought a 1962 Ford Falcon last March. I rode with my brother to this show and actually enjoyed it. It was their sixth annual "Fords In The Park" car show at Heritage Park in Halton Hills, Ontario. My brothers Falcon is interesting because it is a bone stock car with a 144 six but it has exhaust headers on it. All the cars were grouped into sections like Thunder birds, Mustangs, Falcons, Model A's and T's, Fifties Fords, Trucks etc. I fell in love with all the fifties Fords there especially the 56's. Enjoy the rides.

Nice to see some diversity on here! biggrin

Lots of nice cars there, particularly enjoy the Canadian Meteors and Monarchs.

What's the story on the building?

Yes, the red 62 Falcon four door is my brothers car. What really sold him was how solid the car is. There is no bondo on this car just factory metal and the floor and trunk is equally mint. The car is no race car but it does deliver excellent gas mileage and that is what Mike wanted.

More pics of the Ford show at Heritage Park. I have to admit that if i ever did own a Ford, it would be a 56 Fairlane.

Was it originally a service station or Ford dealer?  Neat building nonetheless.  Thanks for sharing!

Nobody wants to be beside you-know-who with his Ford.

Agreed! What a refreshing collection of cars, especially that Montclair, Monarch, and the Meteors. Those '56 models are stunning but there is no nicer car than a '57 T'Bird. I would also like to own one of those Ford tractors. My Dad had one when I was only 5 years old but it got sold with the farm in the late 50's.

Nice pics, my son was there as a spectator at that show. He's been going for a few years now although he don't have a Ford but is an Edsel fan. 56 Fairlane was also always my dream car, I had a Town Sedan for 7 years and sold it back to the guy I bought it from last year.

No other pics of it and have no info on it. To me it is just too new.

All you guys are being way too hard on Carl.  Deep down inside i think even Carl knows that he is a FORD lover that just wants to get out of the closet. J.D. should help Carl into his going out party.

I didn't notice it at first, but just went back to the pics for a look.  Nice conversion of a Fairmont wagon to a 2-door - they must have used the doors, quarter windows and part of the panel from a 2-door sedan.

Found my own answer... looks like it was built more recently to represent a Ford dealer from the 1920s.

Ford Dealership

The Ford Dealership building is modeled after what one wouldve looked like in 1928- a very big year for Henry Ford as his new line of cars was launched including Model F, Model N, Model 8N Tractor, and Model A.

I am not sure about any details on the building there.

Thanks George, from what it says on their site, it looks like they must have built a new building to look like a typical old dealership to go with the theme of the park.

Looks like a nice place - must visit there one day...
