Car shipping...Ontario to BC...
Permalink Closed

Looking at a car in southern Ontario.....and shipping cost will prolly make or break my deal....

Used Livingstons Sea-rail before...and will give them a shot....

It's a classic.....runs and drives...but needs paint....so enclosed is not required....

Any input appreciated...

There is always a trailer going out west, empty, from Ontario.

Members have used him before.

Mount Brydges or Strathroy area I think.

I will keep looking back on the posts to try and find the link.

Does this jog anyone's memory ?

Had good luck shipping a car from Ontario to PEI for my son using Oakwood Transport in Ingersoll, Ontario. Rates seemed fair. I had them take the car right to the dealership I used to work at for safety inspection. The driver called about 2 hours before he arrived. Car was in perfect shape when it arrived. Not many carriers wanted to come right to PEI. Many wanted to dump the car in Moncton. Maybe scared of the bridge??

Bought my Acadian in Hamilton last August.

Shipping was all over the place in price.

Ranged from 2000 to 3500.

Threw all common sense in Lake Ontario and DROVE IT HOME!!

Through the USA.  5 days

Stopping for gas was always a 30 minute to 4 hour break. Great stories and people along the way.

Best Wishes for whatever method you choose.

Brian, stop keeping us in suspense. What is the car you are picking up in Ontario. What ever it is good luck with the purchase. Cheers.
