Frame spec's

Hello all!

So I have a 1966 Parisienne, Canadian model, and have had it in the frame shop for some adjustments - passenger side was sagging and turns out it wasn't suspension as I thought before changing the springs.

The guy who owns the shop, didn't have the exact frame measurement specs for my car, so he had to eye ball it for the time being, without going past a certain limit. Apparently he spent about half a morning looking for specs for my car, but no luck. I'm hoping someone here might have it.

I did order in a springs and drum-disc convo kit from a place just outside of town, and the kit worked, but turns out the springs weren't right. I don't know if he ordered them for a Biscayne or Impala. The new front ones were significantly longer than the ones I pulled out. Had a Bitch of a time installing those ones. But then my ride in the front was just too damn high. So I pulled them back out, chopped them carefully, and reinstalled - easier the second time, and the front sat nicely when I lowered it - I did all that last summer (2017). A year later, the springs settled in more, and the front end was now sitting too low, and I couldn't make sharper turns without the tires rubbing on the fenders. So that's why I took it to the frame shop this year (2018). They have new springs in the front again now, and consequently, the front now sits higher than the rear... Looks ridiculous, until I can get it all settled. I suspect the rear springs originally ordered in 2017, were also wrong, so I'll have to compare some part #'s from the different models with Moog.

So that's a short whats up with my baby, but they, the frame shop, may still need to make an adjustment as they didn't have the right specs. It still is a touch lower on the passenger side, but not as bad as before.

Anybody have these frame measurement specs for a Canadian 66 Parisienne, or know where to look? I was suggested to come to this forum, so here we be :)

Cheers!

I'm not sure what you mean by frame measurements. Our Full Size Canadian Pontiac's use a Full Size Chevrolet chassis, basically an Impala. 1965 & 66 have the idler arm in a different place than the 1967 - 1970's. So basically he can look up a 1966 Impala and that should point him in the right direction.

Re springs, I've put new springs in both my 1970 Parisienne & 1970 2+2 convertible, but they're both big block cars so don't think the info would be of much help.

Someone posted both 1967 & 1968 frame info some time back.  I grabbed the images, here's the 1967 one:

I hope this points you in the right direction.

Thanks for the reply! I'll check with him after the weekend, and see if he has specs for an Impala. He needs the from cross member (where the upper control arms mount to) spec measurements, the spread there in.
