As the season's end is near I finally decided to restore some parts that needed it. Windshield had major scrapes that interfered good vision at night as headlights would diffuse on the imperfections and now that my daughter has started to drive it and complained, I figured it's time to change it. The other part is the front bumper which my son helped take apart, now undergoing re-chroming and as soon as I have time the rear one will come off too so that by next spring she'll have a facelift.
Here's a question for you: When I had the windshield replaced on my 70 2+2 convertible, they had the remove the A pillar rubber mouldings. Did they need to do the same on yours?

No, not at all. However, when I showed up they nearly threw in the towel as they had no idea where to start. It took about 15 minutes of planning plus I showed them some videos which weren't even of the same car until they got confident enough. 3 guys working on the windshield at the same time (MADE ME NERVOUS!!) and once you can even see my hand helping them out but they finally got the old windshield out.
It'll be so nice having a new windscreen. It's a major improvement to even a 5 year old car. let alone 51. My original 67 is really etched up, so I'm pretty envious of you. I'd like to do the same as well, but I have no complaining daughter as of yet!

The windshield on my 70 2+2 rag was done by an old time glass guy, same guy did my 70 Parisienne hdtp. I kind of wondered about the A pillar rubber, but since I had a spare new set purchased years before, it wasn't that big of a deal.
these gotta be the simplest shields to change out the hardest part is putting in the right height of blocks so it matches the height of the old butyl tape, its the older cars that are rap arounds with trim that are a pain.
