65 convertible frame alignment question. See the pics. Have this problem with the front rail alignment. No matter how I Adjust the mechanism i can't seem to get it to come across. The book i have doesn't have any tips on this alignment problem. Any ideas?

truly , the alignment on these older cars was very scientific, the one I saw used the precise application of a 2x4 and a heavy prybar, and yes that was sarcasm. but that's the issue with old rags I had to do the same to get my twist out before I took my top off. bend it in small stages not to over do it. there is a book out some were , not sure if I saw it a swap meet or body shop.
similar to this, but it had a picture of a guy with a piece of wood and a snipe somehow twisting the top into shape, aligning the door frame on a gm truck and other fun body type funnies. I guess its what they did to get everything to fit, no german engineering here.
