I grew up around the corner from this dealership in east Vancouver, although not at the time of this fire in 1957. What's interesting is the number of 57 Pontiac sedan deliveries on the lot!

Wow, what an ugly fire.  Cool stuff on the lot, though at the time it probably would have been considered pedestrian commercial stuff... it's interesting how time changes perspectives.  aww
