OK, since my wife never looks at this forum but she still doesn't know I've done this (Waiting for the "right" moment) I may as well let you guys know that I am now a proud Beaumont owner!
I wont be able to take delivery for a while until the roads are better so my pictures and a better writeup will be delayed. its in a really tight storage shed so I wasn't able to get pictures yesterday that were any good but it sure is a ilttle sweetheart (except for the weird add ons ad and fairly poor paint job
As the seller said to me its really kind of an old mans car but hey I qualify for the seniors discount in a lot of places so there ya go!
The plan is to keep it as original as possible, maybe add a few period correct options but basically to drive it in the summers. It was a nicely optioned, economical, sprightly little unit when it was new and I don't see why it still can't be that again. (Although, it would make a killer of a sleeper, wouldn't it?)
So I'll be logging on to the Beaumont forum from now on to see what wisdom I cant pickup from the gurus out there.
Good stuff! Enjoy! I'll mail a box of 24 cans of beans and a couple quadraphonic tapes out to you ... they will keep you nourished and entertained in the garage.
